Research & Training

The JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute (JRI) in Edison, New Jersey is a major component of the JFK Medical Center. JRI is nationally known for its comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs that maximize independence in adults and children with disabilities.
 
JRI offers a range of research and educational opportunities for medical students and medical professionals in the New Jersey / New York area. These include fellowships, residencies, continuing professional medical education, and a variety of ongoing rehabilitation research projects.

JRI also pursues research regarding innovative assessment and rehabilitation approaches for patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) under a TBI Model System grant from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research.
